A handcrafted Chinese double-roof pleasure boat model — the painted vessel of scholars and poets, display-ready.

Every plank shaped individually, the lattice railings assembled joint by joint, the double canopy tiled by hand — all made in our Zhoushan workshop, founded in 1980.

History & Story

On the rivers of ancient China, the pleasure boat — 画船, literally “painted vessel” — was the watercraft of scholars, poets, and officials who conducted their most important conversations on the water, away from the formality of court and city. The double-tiered roof created layered shade for the humid Yangtze Delta summers.

The herringbone tile pattern on the canopy was a mark of craftsmanship — a detail that distinguishes this model and reflects the refined aesthetic of classical Chinese river culture.

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement. After 24 hours, cancellations are no longer accepted as production may have begun.
