The Cutty Sark was the fastest sailing ship of the Victorian era — a composite clipper launched in 1869 to race tea from China to London. She could carry 1.3 million pounds of tea and reach speeds of 17 knots, making her the queen of the China tea trade.

Today she is preserved in dry dock at Greenwich, London — the last surviving tea clipper in the world, and one of the most visited maritime heritage sites in Britain.
