HISTORY & STORY

The Christian Radich is one of Norway’s most celebrated tall ships — a full-rigged three-masted training vessel launched in 1937 in Oslo and still sailing today. Named after a Norwegian merchant who funded her construction, she gained international fame as the star of the 1958 film Windjammer and has since become a beloved symbol of Norwegian maritime heritage and seamanship.

Her graceful silhouette — white hull with blue and red stripe, three towering masts, and the Norwegian flag flying from the masthead — makes her one of the most recognisable tall ships in the world.
