The vintage style represented in this model — with its dark-painted hull, twin sails, sturdy masts, and anchor chain — evokes the working fishing boats of the late 19th and early 20th century, when sail was still the primary means of propulsion for inshore fishing vessels around the world. These were boats built by hand from local timber, repaired season after season, and passed down through generations of fishing families.
