The USCGC Eagle is the only active sailing vessel in the United States military. Originally built in 1936 in Hamburg, Germany as the Horst Wessel, she was acquired by the U.S. Coast Guard after World War II and has served as a training ship ever since.

With her gleaming white hull, three towering masts, and the distinctive Coast Guard diagonal stripe, she is a symbol of American maritime tradition and service — still sailing today, training the next generation of Coast Guard officers.
