Steam Paddlewheel Ship Model Kit — 319-Piece Wooden Ship Puzzle
This is not a toy. It is a 319-piece 3D wooden puzzle — a precision laser-cut kit that builds into a fully detailed Steam Paddlewheel Ship, ready to display when complete.
The steam paddlewheel ship defined river and coastal transport throughout the 19th century — a vessel driven not by sail or screw, but by the rhythmic rotation of large side-mounted paddle wheels powered by steam. It was the workhorse of the Mississippi, the Rhine, and the great rivers of the industrial age. Its silhouette — broad hull, tall stacks, ornate railings — is one of the most recognizable in maritime history.
This kit reproduces that silhouette in precision laser-cut wood: 319 interlocking pieces that fit together without glue, building up the hull, paddle wheels, deck structure, funnels, and rigging step by step. The finished model is a display piece — something to put on a shelf and look at, knowing you built it yourself.
The Kit
All pieces are laser-cut from natural basswood sheets — a light, fine-grained wood that cuts cleanly and holds detail well. The press-fit joinery system means no glue is required for the main structure. A small amount of adhesive (included) is used for finishing details. Assembly difficulty is rated for ages 14 and above.

Who This Is For
This kit suits the patient builder — someone who enjoys the process of assembly as much as the finished result. It is well-suited to a teenager or adult with an interest in model-making, maritime history, or mechanical design. The finished model makes a distinctive desk or shelf display.
As a gift, it is appropriate for the hobbyist, the history enthusiast, or anyone who prefers something to do over something to unwrap.
Display & Care
Place the finished model away from direct sunlight and high-humidity environments. Dust occasionally with a soft dry brush. The natural wood finish may deepen slightly with age — this is the patina of the timber, not deterioration.
Assembly required. Estimated build time: 4–8 hours depending on experience. Recommended age: 14+.
