This compact 1:50 scale kit reproduces the open lifeboat of Peter the Great's flagship in full wooden construction. Laser-etched structural parts ensure clean, accurate assembly, while the included simple building cradle keeps the hull stable throughout the build. At 18 cm finished length, it is an accessible entry-level project that delivers a historically meaningful display piece.

Peter the Great (1672–1725) transformed Russia into a major naval power, personally overseeing the construction of a modern fleet from scratch. His flagship served as the command vessel of this new navy, and the lifeboats carried aboard were essential equipment — small, sturdy open boats built for speed and reliability in the waters of the Baltic Sea.

This 1:50 scale kit reproduces one of those lifeboats: a vessel that would have been lowered from the flagship's side during operations, carrying officers and crew between ships or to shore. Simple in form but precise in construction, it reflects the practical shipbuilding traditions of early 18th-century Russia — a tradition Peter himself studied firsthand in the shipyards of Holland and England.

Building this kit is a direct connection to that era of naval ambition — a small piece of the fleet that changed Russian history.
