The Kruzenshtern is one of the largest sailing ships in the world — a four-masted barque built in 1926 in Bremen, Germany as the Padua, and transferred to the Soviet Union after World War II. Named after the celebrated Russian admiral and explorer Ivan Krusenstern, she has served as a training vessel for the Russian Navy for decades.

She continues to sail today as a symbol of Russian maritime pride and endurance — one of the last great square-riggers still in active service.
