The fastest clipper ship of the Victorian era — the Cutty Sark, captured in miniature inside a hand-blown glass bottle.

This elegant ship in a bottle features a detailed replica of the legendary Cutty Sark — the iconic British tea clipper famous for her speed and graceful lines — complete with full white sails and the Union Jack flying proudly, set inside a hand-blown clear glass bottle sealed with a natural cork stopper and red wax seal. Mounted on a warm wooden display stand with a brass nameplate, it makes a distinguished gift for maritime history lovers, British heritage collectors, and nautical decor enthusiasts.

⚠️ Hand-blown glass — minor bubbles or surface variations are a natural characteristic of artisan glasswork.

HISTORY & STORY

The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 in Dumbarton, Scotland, and became one of the last and fastest tea clippers ever built. Her name comes from the Scottish poem “Tam o’ Shanter” by Robert Burns — a “cutty sark” being a short shirt worn by the witch Nannie in the poem, whose image adorns the ship’s figurehead.

After her career in the tea and wool trades, the Cutty Sark was preserved and is now on permanent display at the Royal Museums Greenwich in London — a beloved symbol of British maritime ingenuity and the golden age of sail, now captured in miniature and sealed in glass for your collection.
