The Alexander von Humboldt is one of Germany’s most iconic and instantly recognisable tall ships, celebrated worldwide for her extraordinary emerald-green sails. Originally built in 1906 as a lightship, she was converted into a sailing vessel and became a beloved fixture at tall ship races and regattas across Europe. Named after the legendary German naturalist and explorer, she sailed as a floating symbol of adventure and discovery until her retirement in 2011.

This model captures her unmistakable silhouette in careful detail: the white hull with red and green waterline stripe, full emerald-green fabric sails, rope rigging strung bow to stern, and a solid display base with gold-tone brass fittings — assembled by hand in our Zhoushan workshop and finished display-ready.
