A Canadian tugboat subject for your next build: SS Master at 1:26 scale, with 775 electric-motor propulsion.

This SS Master Canadian Tugboat Model Kit features a fibreglass hull at 1:26 scale, with a 775 electric motor and water pump included. The completed model measures 100.8 cm long, 24.5 cm wide and 58 cm high, including the mast. The completed reference shows a tiered white superstructure, a prominent funnel, tall masts and a green-and-red hull, offering a distinctive tugboat profile for a maritime model collection.

The kit combines laser-cut solid maple panels, a resin-printed wheelhouse, alloy castings and resin fittings. Build and bond the wheelhouse sections, then paint the model to your preferred finish. Electronic building instructions are available on request; please contact us.

🔧 This is a model kit, not a finished model. Assembly and painting are required. The reference image shows a completed example.

⚠️ A brushed electronic speed controller (ESC), standard servo and radio system with at least eight channels must be purchased separately. Lighting, smoke and sound components are not included. Lighting effects in completed reference images are for illustration only. This model uses electric propulsion, not a steam engine.

HISTORY & STORY

SS Master was built in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1922. The wooden steam tug worked on Canada's west coast, towing logs and barges as part of the region's maritime and timber industries.

Its wooden hull and steam machinery reflect an earlier era of coastal working vessels. The SS Master Society has supported the vessel's preservation and restoration in the Vancouver area.

This 1:26 scale model captures the historic tugboat's appearance with a fibreglass hull and electric-motor propulsion; it is supplied as an assembly kit, not a steam-powered finished model.
