A 160 cm fully finished wooden ship model — the San Felipe, pride of the Spanish Armada, rendered in hand-carved baroque splendour at museum scale.

At 160 cm in length and standing 126 cm tall, this San Felipe commands every room it enters. Her deep mahogany-red hull is lined with individually carved gun ports, while the towering stern gallery blazes in cobalt blue and burnished gold baroque carvings — sunbursts, royal crests, and gilded figureheads applied entirely by hand. A full spread of white fabric sails flies from three masts, dressed with the colours of the Spanish crown. Weighing 10 kg, this is a collector’s centrepiece of the highest order — equally at home in a private library, a corporate boardroom, or a luxury residence.

This is a fully finished, ready-to-display model — no assembly required. Ships in custom protective packaging. Due to size and weight, please contact us before ordering for shipping arrangements.

History & Story

The San Felipe was one of the most powerful warships of 17th-century Spain — a first-rate galleon of the Spanish Royal Navy, built to project the might of the Spanish Empire across the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Named for King Philip of Spain, she represented the pinnacle of Spanish naval architecture: a towering three-masted vessel armed with dozens of bronze cannon, her hull and stern encrusted with the baroque ornamentation that defined the golden age of Iberian seafaring.

Spain’s great galleons were the backbone of an empire that stretched from the Americas to the Philippines — carrying silver from the mines of Potosi, spices from the East Indies, and the authority of the Spanish crown to every corner of the known world. The San Felipe and her sister ships were the instruments of that power: magnificent, fearsome, and unmistakable on any ocean.

This 160 cm model honours that legacy — a hand-crafted tribute to the golden age of Spanish sail, built to the standard of a museum display piece.
