A 1:48 scale wooden model kit — a cross-section diorama of a tall ship’s double gun deck, revealing the hidden world below the waterline where history was made.

Based on the plans of the Lily , this kit reproduces a two-deck gun platform scene in extraordinary detail. The structure is built from pear wood and ebony using 24 grades of precision-cut wood strips, with cast brass decorative fittings, premium marine-grade rope, PVC deck caulking material, and hard monofilament for deck nail detail. At 15 cm L × 12 cm W × 10.5 cm H, this is a rich, immersive build that rewards patience with a museum-quality result.

⚠️ This is a model kit requiring assembly — not a finished model. Paint, varnish, and glue are not included and must be purchased separately. Tools not included.

The Lily is a classic European tall ship whose plans have long been celebrated among model builders for their exceptional structural complexity and historical accuracy. The double-deck gun platform — the beating heart of any ship-of-the-line — was where the fate of naval battles was decided: rows of heavy cannon, powder boys running between decks, and the deafening roar of broadside fire.

This kit reproduces that world in miniature, inviting the builder to step inside the hull and experience the architecture of naval power from the inside out. Every beam, ladder, cannon carriage, and deck plank tells the story of the craftsmen and sailors who built and sailed these magnificent vessels during the Age of Sail.
