In Chinese tradition, the dragon is a benevolent force — a bringer of rain, a guardian of rivers, and a symbol of imperial power. This piece draws from the Western Gothic tradition — a dark-scaled dragon with outstretched wings, coiled atop the carved jaw of a great beast, its Celtic knotwork base hinting at ancient power and mystery. It is a piece for those who collect not just objects, but stories.
