A fully finished 38 cm wooden ship model — the Enterprise, America’s legendary J-Class racing yacht, captured in crisp navy blue and white with full fabric sails.

The Enterprise cuts a clean, elegant silhouette — her deep navy hull trimmed in white, a natural wood deck fitted with brass cleats and a ship’s wheel, and a full spread of white fabric sails rising 56 cm above her keel. A miniature American flag flies from her stern, and a polished brass nameplate on the display stand identifies her as the Enterprise. Compact enough for a desk or bookshelf, striking enough to anchor any room.

This is a fully finished, ready-to-display model — no assembly required.

History & Story

The Enterprise was an American J-Class racing yacht, built in 1930 to defend the America’s Cup — the oldest international trophy in sport. Designed by W. Starling Burgess and owned by a syndicate led by Harold Vanderbilt, she was one of the most technically advanced yachts of her era, featuring an aluminium mast, a revolutionary Park Avenue boom, and a crew of 70 men.

In the 1930 America’s Cup, Enterprise defeated the British challenger Shamrock V four races to nil — a clean sweep that cemented her place in sailing history. She was fast, innovative, and ruthlessly efficient: a racing machine dressed in the elegant lines of the golden age of sail.

This 38 cm model captures the Enterprise in her racing trim — a compact, beautifully finished piece that brings a chapter of American sporting history to your home or office.
