This is not a souvenir. It is a seafaring legend — a handcrafted wooden Kuwait Dhow model made to order in the Ocean Relic Studio workshop in Zhoushan, Zhejiang.
The Kuwait Dhow — known as the Boom — is the great sailing vessel of the Arabian Gulf. For centuries it carried pearls, dates, and timber across the Indian Ocean, from the Persian Gulf to the coasts of East Africa and India, navigating by stars long before modern instruments existed. Its distinctive lateen sails, deep wooden hull, and elegant prow made it one of the most seaworthy traditional vessels ever built. This model captures the Dhow at its most iconic: white billowing sails, rich mahogany-toned hull planking, authentic rigging, and a custom engraved nameplate — every detail shaped by hand in our Zhoushan workshop, founded in 1980 by craftsmen who have dedicated their lives to this form.
