This is not a replica. It is a tribute — a handcrafted wooden model of the Passat, one of the last great sailing cargo ships, made to order in the Ocean Relic Studio workshop in Zhoushan, Zhejiang.

The Passat — a German four-masted barque launched in 1911 — was among the last commercial sailing ships to round Cape Horn under full sail. She carried grain from Australia and nitrates from Chile across the world's most treacherous waters, powered by nothing but wind and seamanship. Today she rests as a museum ship in Travemünde, Germany, a monument to the final age of sail. This model captures the Passat at her most commanding: four towering masts, a full spread of white square sails, black-and-white hull with red waterline, and the German flag flying from her stern — every spar, every line, every detail shaped by hand in our Zhoushan workshop, founded in 1980.

Who This Is For

The Passat is the model for someone who wants more than a decorative object — it is a piece of maritime history, the last of a breed of working sailing ships that crossed the world's oceans under canvas. It suits a living room, a study, a nautical-themed office, or any space where the owner wants a centerpiece with genuine historical presence and visual drama.

As a gift, it is well-suited to the maritime history enthusiast, the collector of European naval heritage, or anyone who appreciates the craftsmanship of an era when wind alone drove ships around the world.
